Love and Stuff: Change in Plans

I’ve changed my plans. I will be writing a series of books under the series title of Understanding Creation (or something similar) with book titles of:

  1. Making Peace With Empirical Reality.
  2. The Human Mind as a Re-creation of God’s Creation.
  3. Love and Stuff.
  4. What is a Universe?
  5. Freedom and Structure in Human Life.
  6. The Narrative We Know as a World.
  7. What Means It All?

Each book, to published as a pdf, will include the corresponding collection of my weblog writings: Acts of Being: Selected Weblog Writings From 2006 to 2019, the last such update I will publish. In parts and chapters placed before the corresponding essays, I will provide a summary discussion of what the ideas developed in those essays and my current evaluation of those ideas. I’ll leave the description of the book in such a preliminary state.

Because of this major effort, I’m not planning to regularly post new essays on this weblog: Acts of Being. I might start again as I advance further into this project and start drafting and finalizing pieces of the summaries and other new material.

I might even comment very occasionally on the long-range implications of what is happening with the fraudulent Coronavirus crisis. I know it is a new virus—so far as public knowledge goes or even the knowledge of nearly all medical clinicians. According to the only scientific analyses I know of, the so-called Novel Coronavirus has the killing and temporary disabling power of a moderate to severe seasonal flu. It kills mostly those who are over 60 (I’m 65) and those with serious medical problems including heart problems and lung problems (obesity by itself is also strongly correlated with `possible’ Covid-19 deaths) but can kill even healthy people by causing an excessively strong immune response leading to a Cytokine storm which can lead to Sepsis. Those with a technical interest should also look at Cytokine where some information is given beyond that in the article about Cytokine storms.

The problem with a possibly new disease—I’ve read an unattributed quote from a highly-regarded geneticist suggesting the `novel’ Coronavirus might have been around for years or even decades and simply never had a `breakout’—is that you need good data and clear thinking to deal with it. Instead, we in the United States were subjected to a set of panicked responses which violated some basic principles of immunology and of public disease control. These panicked responses were often made by those we can suspect of ties to potential, high-profit vaccines and to those (such as Bill Gates and George Soros) who have ambitions to still greater wealth and power than they already have.

The crisis is relatively mild compared to what has come in past centuries and might come again, despite our advanced medical technologies. Covid-19 should have been handled as what it was, a severe but not socially devastating lower-tract respiratory disease which killed mostly vulnerable people—who were not protected, despite the pompous claims of Fauci and other crooks(?)/fools(?). Heck, we could have saved trillions of dollars if the government had skipped the lock-down and simply taken over luxury hotels as refuges for vulnerable people.

I have some serious work to do. My mission is to start building the foundations for a new Christian Civilization or perhaps (looking unlikely) a revived Christian West.

At this point, following the so-called Coronavirus Pandemic is merely taking time away from my main mission—which could be very important if others start to deal with my thoughts to take them further or to reject them and do something different.

Rather than trying to put out fires in the decayed structures of the formerly Christian West, I intend to put more energy into my oft-stated goal of building a foundation which might prove adequate for supporting a new Christian Civilization, one more in synch with God’s Creation and, hence, with the Creator.
